We liked the grounds and lake and thought Babs was just having a bad day when we decided to stay our first season with our new trailer. Big mistake Babs got worse, made up more rules, went through our garbage and Rick is even worse. We never felt so uncomfortable at a resort in our lives. We left, found another resort where the owners like guests and make you feel comfortable. We have since met other campers who have stayed, all say the same things
I stayed here while I was working. The owners are mean and rude especially the guy. I have woken up to go to work stepped outside to have him swearing at me about my water hook up being in the way of his mowing. Your not aloud to use the bath house, they must just use it as a way to get people there. There was nothing good about this place. Stayed at a lot of place but this one is the worse.
We stayed here over the 4th with friends and kids, such a clean resort and the owners are very friendly! Everyone in the resort was friendly. The kids loved the beach and the playground, we felt very safe letting them explore! Fire pits and large yard areas around each RV site!
This is a very nice family owned resort. It's not a party place. It's perfect for camping and fishing with the whole family.
This will be our 4th season at Farm Island Campground. It upsets me to see poor reviews about the owners! Rick and Babs Johnson are an older couple that work very hard to keep the resort clean, quiet and fair for everyone. It's not a party campground! If you are looking for a place to have bonfires and party until 3am, this isn't the place for you! However, if you are an older couple or a young family with kids looking to enjoy the peace and quiet a campground should offer then you'll love it! Pontoons and paddle boats for rental, on-site camping available, a bathhouse for visitors, park your RV for a week or a day or a year! 9 cabins available for rent with full lake view! Plenty of space to dock your boat, a clean swimming beach for the kiddos, a park and lots of walking paths. Just don't drive over 5 MPH or Babs will hunt you down on her golfcart!
